What is NAMC?
The mission of the Nonprofit Alliance of Monterey County (NAMC) is to share information, promote resources and develop programs that help members connect, collaborate and succeed. NAMC is a membership organization led by a Co-Director team and a Board of Directors representing the range and diversity of nonprofits in Monterey County.

Our mission is to optimize the collective power of nonprofits for the benefit of Monterey County communities. NAMC advocates for the nonprofit industry through education, convening, and acting as an information hub.

Nominations are open now for the 2025 Nonprofit Awards Celebration! Being nominated is a unique, fun and moving experience for our nominees and a great opportunity for you to honor a special someone or an outstanding organization doing amazing work for our communities. All nominees will be acknowledged in our special tribute to nominees during the program and receive a special certificate. Award recipients will have the opportunity to address our guests and receive a special award.

Through membership events and programs, you and your staff will meet dozens of nonprofit leaders –allies, partners, mentors and friends. You will also connect with dozens of community leaders eager to learn more about your work through our programs, newsletter, web directory and annual awards celebration.
Collaborate
NAMC members work together to protect the interests of the nonprofit sector and projects a collective voice to the public about the sector’s unique and essential contributions to solving problems and meeting the most urgent challenges in our communities such as Census 2020 Monterey County. Thanks to web directories and newsletter announcements with the latest resources and initiatives, NAMC helps nonprofits like yours build strategies, generate resources and leverage your potential for greater impact.
Succeed
NAMC raises public awareness of your worth and work, activating donors and institutional partners while building and strengthening networks. Through NAMC, you and your staff will develop skills, knowledge and contacts that will help you fulfill your mission — with the support of your colleagues who are also working every day to create healthier and more vibrant communities are working for everyone.
